Be(A)WARE'' Sensitisation of Employees under POSH Act

The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) has been in force for almost a decade but the employers still find it challenging in its implementation. The employers on the one hand have a hard task of sensitising employees to come forward with their genuine grievances and on the other hand fend the false complaints that may arise. There is also the issue of confusion of workplace harassment or discrimination with sexual harassment. What is a workplace and who is an employee is misunderstood also. This online program will sensitise the employees and create awareness on the important facets of the POSH Act.

Over the course of this webinar, the trainer will cover the below topics

• What is sexual harassment?

• What does not constitute sexual harassment?

• Who is an employer and an employee?

• What is a workplace?

• Who is an aggrieved woman?

• To whom should a complaint be raised?

• What happens if a person is charged with a false complaint?

• Difference between sexual harassment and sex discrimination.

• Punishment under POSH laws

• What happens when an employee wants to file criminal complaint?
