Sexual harassment in the workplace is an issue that affects women globally, and rural India is no exception. During a recent sensitization session on sexual harassment at the workplace, a concerning misconception arose: some participants attributed the problem to the way women dress. This perspective highlights the urgent need to address misconceptions and create a safer work environment that promotes gender equality and respect for all. In this article, we will explore the complex dynamics of sexual harassment, challenge victim-blaming notions, and suggest practical measures to foster a workplace free from harassment.
