The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has rolled out the Companies (Accounts) 2nd Amendment Rules, 2025, effective July 14, 2025, introducing a significant shift in corporate transparency and accountability.
📌 What’s New?
As part of enhanced disclosure norms under Rule 8(5), companies are now mandated to report:
- The number of sexual harassment complaints received,
- The number disposed of, and
- Those are pending for more than 90 days.
This move aligns with the spirit of the POSH Act, 2013, reinforcing the importance of a safe and inclusive workplace.
📌 Why It Matters:
This amendment is a strong step toward embedding gender-sensitive governance into the corporate DNA. It not only ensures compliance but also builds trust with stakeholders, employees, and the public.
✅ Let’s commit to transparency.
✅ Let’s prioritize workplace dignity.
✅ Let’s make compliance a culture, not a checkbox.
